Asset Management
Consignment is a slow process. However, one may yield the greatest return on investment.
What happens: In a consignment scenario, our clients ship all items (assets) to VarData’s warehouse and we audit the item (assets). Upon completion of the audit, we sell the assets and return a percentage of the profit to our clients.
Liquidation is the fastest and the easiest way to receive a return on investment. Depending on the product mix, this may yield the best return.
What happens: In a liquidation scenario, our representatives do an on-site evaluation of our client’s items (assets). Upon determination and agreement of a value, we provide assistance in removing all the items (asset) and make payment to the client.
Salvage/Recycling yields the lowest return but enables the owner of the business to move on to more important business. Salvage/recycling is recommended when the product mix is more than three years old.
What happens: In a salvage scenario, VarData removes all items (assets) deemed end of life with little or no resale value. This enables our clients to free up valuable space and move on to more important tasks.
Test
All we do is follow our proprietary ITA – the Inspection-Testing-Assurance approach. With our ITA approach, our clients have the advantage of having their equipment visually inspected and diagnostically tested, on site using documented procedures.
